a mechanic was removing engine valves from a car when he spots a famous doctor.
"ay! you're the surgeon aren't ya? c'mere fer a sec." the doctor walks over.
loudly, the mechanic continues, "so, mr. fancy doctor, look at the work i'm doing. i also take the valves out, grind 'em, put in some new parts, and when i finish, this baby will purr like a kitten. tell me now. why do you make the big bucks when we're basically doing the same thing?"
the doctor quietly replies, "try doing your work with the engine running."
