michal szybalski, an IT worker, received a letter on january 3rd that was sent on december 20th as priority mail, and calculated that a snail would've made it to his house faster.
michal's calculations:
distance between sender and home is 11.1km
294 hours for the letter to arrive at his home
speed of the letter: 0.03775km/hr
speed of common garden snail: 0.048km/hr
